Rafael Concepción (b. 1993) is an artist whose use of photography stems from an enthusiasm for the unanticipated and emotional potentialities of images. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions and has been featured in Boston Voyager, From Here on Out, the Hartford Courant, and Don’t Take Pictures, among others. Concepción earned a BFA in Photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Connecticut. He is a faculty member at the International Center of Photography and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
